Eagle Scout, Zachary Bosworth

Dear sisters,

As moms, we log a lot of miles with our children. Starting from day one we manage, mark and track hundreds of important events in our children’s lives. We love, nurture, nudge and nourish. Encourage, excite, and inspire. Sometimes, we have to push, pull and prod them along when they drift off course. But that’s all part of the amazing journey of motherhood. We recently celebrated our sons Court of Honor Eagle Scout Ceremony. It was proud day for all of us and one for the Mother’s Log for sure. Please join us in honoring our young man, Zachary and his good friend and fellow Eagle Scout, Brendan! Continue reading

CONGRATULATIONS! To the entire Eagle Scout Family! We have 4 here in our home. I know the joys and the work involved in Scouting. I have been a Cub Scout Leader for over 28 years now. Watching these young men grow and GROW is one of my greatest joys. I am proud FOR you! Zach and Brendan…. I am proud OF you.

I send my congratulations to Zachary and Brendan. I celebrate with you because our son earned his Eagle Scout. I know how proud a mom can be (family too). My son is now 44 and he told me that every job interview he had, they counted the award very highly. Bask in the glow.

  3. Linda Baker says:

Congratulations to Zach and his family!
Thank you, Deb, for sharing your special story and pictures. It was great to read about Boy Scouting and your famly’s experiences with such a great organization.

  4. Linda Baker says:

OOPS. Sorry, I left out Brendan’s name.
    Congatulations to Brendan, too!

    Deb,

Thanks for this really awesome, informative post! My son was in 4-H all his growing up years so we didn’t do Boy Scouts. So this was all new information to me and I really enjoyed it! Your son is such a handsome boy. And I love the picture of you and daughter – she’s beautiful.

Also, what an incredible project that your son chose as his Eagle project. Wow. Loved the aerial view of your beach community. Beautiful.

    Happy Mother’s Day Deb!!!

      Hi Dori,
I’m glad you enjoyed this post, Dori! I think that’s great your son was able to participate in 4-H growing up. It’s all good stuff for growing boys!
Hope you had a fantastic Mother’s Day!!!

Congratulations !!! This is a great accomplishment. I, too, am a fellow Eagle Scout mom. My son is 21 this year and still considers his Eagle an important part of his life, so much dedication, hard work, fun, and learning ! And it is not over, as I am sure he will become a Scout leader some day. :))))

    • Deb Bosworth says:

      Hi Laura,
Congratulations to you as well. Our son has also seen how his Eagle Scout Award can help him with getting hired. He worked for Coca Cola last summer as a merchandiser and was hired on the spot because the hiring manager was impressed he was an Eagle Scout. Oh, wouldn’t that be neat if he has a son some day to be a scout leader as well? I an see that happening! xo Deb

  7. Vivian Monroe says:

Deb, this post just made me teary eyed. He is such a fine looking young man, he and his friend will go far in life with the dedication they learned in Scouts. Congratulations to them both, and I hope you have a very Blessed Mothers day. Neta

    • Deb Bosworth says:

Hi Neta, Thank you so much. It’s been so great to celebrate with these two upright young men!Love to you! Deb x0
