Hello friends!  I’ve been pondering this thing that I seem to see every single August here in Tennessee: summer is over when school is back in session.  I’m telling you what, that seems so strange to me.  It’s 100 degrees outside, our flower garden is still producing like nobody’s business and everybody is talking Fall and Pumpkins.  WHAT???  Of course for those of you that have been reading my blog here for any amount of time, you know that I never let go of summer until the frost really IS on the pumpkin!

Have you heard the buzz? The Downton Abbey MOVIE is going to be released in theaters in one month, on September 20th! I’m excited, and already planning to see it with a group of girlfriends. Dear Sisters,

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be a work’n farmgirl over 50 lately. Probably because I’m closing in on 60 in a few short years and I’m finding it hard to believe. Some of our peers have already retired or, are about to. But lately, I have met so many women 50 and over who are launching new businesses, building new dreams and growing in new ways and I just find that so inspiring and interesting.
